Donate and Together We Can Make a Difference

Please consider a gift to the Pennsylvania Institute for Conservation Education in support of its mission and programs.

Thanks to you and others who care about Pennsylvania's natural places, the Institute is helping to save our natural environment through education. But, we can't do it alone.

Institute programs are unique in that we go beyond the one-time learning experience. Our two key programs, the Wildlife Leadership Academy and Pennsylvania Master Naturalist, both engage participants over the course of at least one year and emphasize ongoing education and conservation service as core values. Wildlife Leadership Academy, our remarkable education and leadership program for teenagers, costs more than $3,000 for each student who participates in this year-long program.   Sponsorships and grants support about half while Institute fundraising supports the balance of the cost.  Contributions from caring donors like you make it possible for all youths to go to Wildlife Leadership Academy, regardless of their ability to pay.

Whether you are an individual or business leader concerned about the growing conservation issues we face today, by contribributing to PICE you can become part of the solution.

Here is what your generous gift can accomplish:
      - $60 could pay for official PA Master Naturalist wooden nametags for 20 Master Naturalist volunteers
      - $250 could buy field guides for one Master Naturalist training course
      - $500 could pay for printing the training manuals for one Master Naturalist training course
      - $1,500 covers residential housing for the 5-day Brookies Academy Field School
      - $3,150 could pay the full cost of one student to engage in the year-long Wildlife Leadership Academy
      - $10,000 could cover food costs for two Wildlife Leadership Academy residential field schools

Benefits of Contributing

Earn tax credits for your donation.  Please allow us to explain how the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program through the PA Department of Community and Economic Development can return up to 90% of your donation back to your company. For more details on how your business can earn tax credits for conservation contact Michele Kittell (mkittell@piceweb.org; 570-245-8518). In addition, your donation can be deducted from your federal taxes as we are a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
